What is Denali Television? And how are you different from GCI? We are a wireless service that offers cable television programming to the home by using a UHF antenna system installed on the home. GCI uses hard–line cable to reach your home; this often involves digging a trench if GCI did not previously service the home.
How large is the antenna? The antenna system usually consists of a UHF antenna on a 5–10 foot mast and a tripod. The actual size of the antenna itself varies depending on the signal levels at the location and the type of roof on the home. We use the smallest size possible and still ensure good reception.
What types of channels do you offer? In the Fairbanks/North Star Borough area we offer 17 channels in addition to the local channels. We also have two premium channels. (See attached line–up and channel descriptions and pricing).
Where is your service area? In Fairbanks we broadcast from Ester Dome and cover most of the Fairbanks, North Pole, Moose Creek areas. We have scattered coverage on Chena Ridge, Salcha and Harding Lake.
How do I know if my home can receive service? We would conduct a signal test/site survey and confirm the reception, verify antenna requirements and give a firm cost of the installation.
Do we offer cable modems Not at this time.
How much does a standard installation cost? In Fairbanks standard installation costs $159.95. There are additional costs if a preamp or special antenna is required. We will give you an exact amount after the site survey is complete.
How much does Basic Service Cost?

Can I have service to more than one TV? Yes. There is an additional charge to run or verify the lines to each additional television. There is also an additional charge of $5.00 per month for each additional decoder.
How much is the decoder? The replacement cost is $250.00.
Is there a contract or any other long–term commitment required? No, we do not have a contract and you may cancel service at anytime without penalty. However we do run a credit check to determine if there are any security deposits required. We also have ability to put our customers on vacation mode.
How much are the security deposits? Security deposits are $30.00; a one time charge.
Can I receive service if I rent If you do not own your home we will need a landlord permission slip signed prior to installation. If you live in a condo permission from the condo association is required. If you live in an apartment we would require landlord permission.
Do you rebroadcast the local channels? We do not rebroadcast the local channels but we do provide the best local antenna available for your area.
Who owns the system once it is installed? Denali Television retains the ownership of all equipment.
Are you going to be getting more channels? We are in the process of obtaining more channels.
I have a satellite system what can you do for me? We can install an antenna so you can receive local channels. The cost for this service starts at $250.00 this includes all equipment and labor.
I just want local television how can you help me? We can add additional outlets in other rooms of your house, install an antenna to receive local broadcast channels, we can adjust or replace your existing antenna, replace cable that has been damaged or no longer works, and any other cable service that you require.
What can I do if I'm having a problem with my channels or reception? Try a refresh:- Unplug cable box from the wall
- Count to ten then plug cable box back in
- With your cable box remote push 07061400 then ENTER
- Cable box will automatically shut off
- Wait 20 minutes allowing cable box to REFRESH itself
- After 20 minutes turn cable box back on and run through channels
- Repeat method as necessary
